CabinetNow Flooring Limited Warranty

Overview

CabinetNow offers a comprehensive limited warranty that covers Engineered Hardwood, Vinyl, and Laminate Flooring. This warranty ensures the original purchaser receives products free from defects in material and workmanship under normal residential use, provided the product is installed and maintained according to CabinetNow’s Installation and Care Instructions.

Professional installation is highly recommended to maintain warranty coverage.

General Warranty Conditions

  • Flooring must be the final installation item in construction/remodel projects.

  • All products must be inspected prior to installation for defects in color, finish, sheen, and milling. Installed flooring with visible defects is not covered.

  • Installation of any flooring with visible defects will be considered acceptance of the product.

  • Flooring must be acclimated 24–48 hours prior to installation in a climate-controlled environment (65–80°F and 40–55% relative humidity).

  • Warranty coverage is non-transferable and valid only to the original purchaser at the original installation address with a paid-in-full invoice.

  • Products installed in non-climate-controlled spaces (e.g., outdoors, sunrooms, covered decks) are not covered.

Residential Warranty

  • Engineered Hardwood & Laminate: Covered against delamination and wear-through of the top layer under normal residential traffic for up to 25 years.

  • Vinyl Flooring: Covered against wear-through of the vinyl layer exposing core material for up to 25 years.

  • All products are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects in grading, milling, dimension, and coating under proper use and maintenance.

Commercial Warranty

  • Light commercial environments (excluding food service, salons, and medical facilities) are covered for up to 3 years against delamination and wear-through.

Water Resistance (Vinyl & Laminate Only)

  • Vinyl and laminate flooring is water-resistant, not waterproof. Structural integrity will not be significantly diminished due to moisture; however, damage from mold, mildew, or prolonged standing water is excluded.

  • This warranty does not imply the product is a moisture barrier.

Installation Over Radiant Heat

  • Only products marked “radiant heat compatible” are warranted for use over radiant heat.

  • Systems must be gradually adjusted (2–3 days) and not exceed 80°F surface temperature.

  • Use of radiant heat in unsupported flooring will void the warranty.

Exclusions (All Flooring Types)

This warranty does not cover:

  1. Improper installation, site preparation, or jobsite environmental conditions.

  2. Subfloor irregularities, moisture issues, or hydrostatic pressure.

  3. Indentations, scratches, gouges, and damage from:

    • Spiked shoes

    • Furniture with no floor protectors

    • Heavy rolling loads

    • Pets

  4. Color fading or gloss reduction from UV/sunlight exposure.

  5. Damage from flooding, leaks, or plumbing failures.

  6. Improper cleaning (including wet mopping, steam cleaners, oil-based soaps).

  7. Failure to maintain recommended humidity levels (40–55%).

  8. Use of incompatible underlayments or adhesives.

  9. Damage from mold, mildew, insects, chemical exposure, or accidents.

  10. Color variation, wood knots, grain irregularities (natural characteristics of wood).

  11. Damage due to furniture, appliances, or cabinetry placed directly over floating floors.

  12. Damage due to structural movement or building settlement.

Maintenance Requirements

  • Clean using a soft broom or vacuum with a non-beater brush attachment.

  • Use a damp mop (not wet) with a pH-neutral cleaner.

  • Avoid harsh chemicals, wax, ammonia, or oil-based cleaners.

  • Place mats at entry points and furniture pads under all furniture.

  • Move rugs occasionally to avoid uneven fading.

Humidity control is critical. Use a humidifier/dehumidifier to maintain 40–55% RH.

Claim Process

To submit a warranty claim:

  1. Contact CabinetNow within 6 months of defect discovery.

  2. Provide:

    • Order number 

    • Photos of defect

    • Description of issue and area affected

Fill out our Flooring Problem Order Form

A third-party inspector may be required. CabinetNow reserves the right to:

  • Repair the affected area

  • Replace the defective material (excluding labor)

  • Issue a refund for the defective product

This warranty is the sole and exclusive warranty for CabinetNow flooring products. No retailer, distributor, installer, or agent has the authority to modify this warranty. CabinetNow shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages beyond the remedies outlined.
