Exciting Modern Thermofoil in 2021

If you have been planning a kitchen remodel or renovation, then you have likely looked at dozens of styles of cabinet doors. After seeing so many doors, you probably feel like you have seen it all. However, we would like to introduce you to our new Modern Thermofoil series. We are bringing ten new styles and ten new colors to our site with this line. Each style takes a classic design and reimagines it through the lens of a modern aesthetic. We are going to take a look at the three construction styles we have available in the Modern Thermofoil series.

Slab Style

A small wet bar with thermofoil cabinets.

While the shape of the slab-style door hasn’t changed, our Modern Thermofoil brings new life with trendy colors and wood textures. These colors range from our stunning Sage SuperMatte to a beautiful weathered oak. Slab-style doors like our Turino are perfect for full overlay, and with these 10 new trendy colors, you are sure to find the perfect color to make your space unique.

Raised Panel Doors

A small kitchen with thermofoil cabinets.

For those who love raised panel doors, our Modern Thermofoil offers two designs. The first is our Modern Classic door. This door offers an updated look that is reminiscent of our popular Revere cabinet door. The Modern Classic door offers a raised panel with subtle inside and outside edge detail to create stunning lines and sophisticated simplicity.

Our Modern Breckenridge thermofoil, on the other hand, preserves some of the details that the Modern Classic omits. The sharp lines keep the eye engaged, and the popping colors available help lift this more traditional style into the modern day.

Both the Modern Classic and Modern Breckenridge are perfect for those seeking a blend of traditionally styled, raised panel doors, but want to add new and trendy colors to create unique looks.

Recessed Panel

A larger kitchen with slab and recessed panel thermofoil doors.

Our new Modern recessed panel thermofoil doors come in 7 different styles as they reinterpret the classic shaker style. The Modern Shaker and Lancaster doors offer more literal interpretations that preserve the shaker style, but introduce trendy colors to breathe fresh life into a classic style.

The Modern Shaker Elite, Bradford, and Aspen stay mostly loyal to the Shaker style, but they do take interesting artistic liberties. The Modern Shaker Elite and Bradford doors keep the iconic shaker frame but add new detail to the panel. The Modern Bradford features an ornate beaded detail on the panel. The Modern Shaker Elite, on the other hand, offers a panel with vertical detail, which creates almost a wood panel appearance.

A kitchen with shaker slim doors.

Our final two modern style doors are the Modern Shaker Inset and the Shaker Slim. Both of these doors add something new to the shaker look that gives it a unique and engaging appearance. The Modern Shaker Slim updates the door’s look by reducing the size of the stiles and rails to just 3/5th of an inch. This creates tight lines throughout the space, and is perfect for showing off trendy colors or beautiful natural textures.

The Modern Shaker Inset has the look of an inset cabinet door, but it is actually not a traditional inset door. A combination of the edge detail with a full overlay creates the inset cabinet, but without the typically added costs or trouble with warping associated with inset installation.
