Our floating shelves at CabinetNow are the perfect compliment to your next kitchen or bathroom remodel. In fact, these shelves can be a great fit in a huge variety designs, as they are available in dozens of trendy colors and rich wood grains. Depending on the placement, a floating shelf can be an excellent choice from anything from cook books to collectables.

How to Get Started

The first step to upgrading your space with floating shelves is to measure. Carefully consider where you plan to hang your new shelves. At this stage, you should also be locating the studs in your walls. To get the best results, you will want to mount the shelves using studs or wall anchors rated for, ideally, a bit more weight than you intend for the shelf to hold.

Now that you know your sizes and where you can actually hang the shelves, you can get started on the fun part! If you are looking for natural tones, we offer a selection of high-quality veneer floating shelves to suit your needs. These range from a paint grade maple that is perfect for a DIY project to quarter-cut cherry with stunning grain and color.

If you are looking to follow or set a new trend, our floating shelves are also available in all of our Modern Thermofoil colors. This way, you can make your shelves perfectly with your new cabinet doors and drawer fronts.

Installation

A common issue that people have with floating shelves is sagging. This happens when the shelf is improperly installed or overburdened (or both). To solve for this, ensure you are either mounting your shelves on studs, or using high-quality, heavy-duty wall anchors that can support the load. Our floating shelves include the brackets, so all you will need to source are the anchors and screws.
